Welcome to Healthy Sault

Live Well. Age Well.

Hello, and welcome

The primary focus of Healthy Sault is to support, and provide guidance to, individuals in our community who have a strong desire to live a healthy lifestyle, and age gracefully as a result of their efforts.

The science is clear (and so are the statistics) that lifestyle plays a critical role in our ability to ward off preventable diseases and ailments that rob us of our quality of life as we grow older. The good news is that it's never too late to take corrective action by working to improve our existing routines.

Having a strategy that helps us age successfully presents us with a powerful win-win scenario, that being, a future we work to protect ensures - we live our best life today. One day at a time, doing the best we can, until the momentum becomes unstopable.

Getting this right adds life to our years, and if we're lucky, years to our life. But what truly matters most is the quality of our years (our healthspan vs. our lifespan), and our ability to consume the experiences that have fueled our hopes and dreams - of a life well lived.

Your host

At 64, I have never felt as fit and healthy as I do right now. But that's not to say that I've never struggled in the past, or that I don't have room for improvement. It's just that I know first hand that once you hit that tipping point where it's far more desireable to feel really good than it is to give into old habits that you know are not serving you well, that you're on the right path and gaining momentum. To quote the late Jim Rohn. "If you will change, everything will change for you". What would be first on your list?
